Prices

We don't have a standard price list. Every job's specification is different depending on the colour of ink, the type of paper, the number of copies, if we have to tweak the artwork, if delivery is required, if we give the arbitrary 10% discount for cool politics and more.

We realise that's a fat lot of use if you've just googled in to this site and want an idea about whether it's worth getting in touch for a proper quote. So to give you an idea of what's what, here's some sample prices done in September 2015.

These are only given as a rough guide - please contact us for a quote for your project. We're happy to help you figure out your specifications and/or give you several quotes with different details.

The prices all presume:

• - the artwork has a clear 5mm margin between the edge of the print and the edge of the sheet (we can do full bleed in most formats but it costs more)
• - booklet pages are numbered thoughout (we charge 10% extra if not as it takes longer to figure out and has a greater chance of printing errors)
• - VAT is included where applicable
• - delivery is included to an address in England and Wales, (usually about £15-20 of the price - it costs more to send them elsewhere, or you can save that cost by picking up if you're in Leeds or going to an event where we're bringing a van)

These prices are all with 80g paper and a Cyclus 170g card cover. We stock a range of thicker offwhite card and other colours in 170g, and it makes very little difference to your price.

These are for black ink on Evercopy 80g paper, our cheapest and lowest-impact printing. But, as with the prices in the A3 posters, it only adds a smidgen to use coloured paper and/or ink.

Again, notice that the price per copy plummets the more you get, but it costs almost nothing to add a splash of colour either in the paper or the ink.

Well we call it a laser printer because that's the kind of output it gives, but actually it's an LED printer which uses less energy than laser. It's only really cost effective up to a few hundred copies. (Once you're full colour printing in the high hundreds and into thousands then it's cheaper to get it done on a lithograph - we haven't got one of those but we know some nice people who have,  a co-operative in London called Calverts.)

It costs very little extra to make Riso fliers double sided. The full colour printer has a heavier mark-up for double-sided as the ink is a bigger part of the cost than with the Risograph.

All the Riso prices are for Evercopy 80g paper, the full colour is for 100g office paper (the laser printer spits its dummy when you try to make it print on 80g).
